Íconos Revista de Ciencias Sociales is a publication of FLACSO Ecuador. It was founded in 1997 with the purpose of stimulating a critical reflection from the social sciences on topics of social, political, cultural and economic debate in Latin America. The journal is aimed at the scientific community and those interested in knowing, expanding and deepening from academic perspectives social problems in the region. Iconos Revista de Ciencias Sociales is published quarterly in the months of January, May and September.
